New project – Ectopic pregnancy film

MAF announces the production of a new short feature film in collaboration with the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust (Registered Charity No.1071811)

During the weekend of the 10/11 October 2009 a group of volunteer amateur and professional actresses met with the MAF production team and the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust at King’s College Hospital in South London to participate in the creation of the film.  It was most intense, hard work but we managed to complete the work in the time and hope to have the film displayed on our website before the end of the year.

 

The film aims to raise awareness about this common pregnancy complication which affects an increasing number of young women and can lead to severe trauma and infertility.  In developing countries it is also an important cause of death.

 

In 2010 MAF will also produce an animation to help in the training of doctors and nurses in developing countries to diagnose and manage ectopic pregnancies.
