Rwanda - Day 1

We arrived last night in Kigali and after some technical blips we managed to connect to the internet.

 

Our plans are:
-    Today Sunday- visit to the Genocide Museum in the hills of Kigali. There are genocide remembrance sites where mass killings took place across the country. To gain an understanding of this tragic chapter in Rwanda’s history is an essential part of our work here.

 

Confirmations of our government and health provider meetings – On Tuesday, plans to meet with the Minister of Telecommunications and IT. This should also be an important step for MAF as we aim to  distribute our teaching material via the web. Also, the Minister is keen to develop e-health programmes and MAF is currently developing a Q and A platform for midwives and NGO health workers based in developing countries.
