Rwanda - Day 4

Rwanda - Day 4

This was our marathon day starting with a very useful brainstorming meeting with the health development team of the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC). They highlighted the importance of also involving the district general hospital (Kibagabaga) in the periphery of Kigali which provides care to more than 7000 pregnant women annually  and covers an area within a 50km radius around Kigali in the Gasabo district.

Rapid transfer to KHI, for our basic obstetric ultrasound course. The course was well attended by 10 Doctors (our future trainers) & more than 20 midwives and nurses (our future trainees). After 5 hours of lecturing and at least 2 hours of discussion, most participants volunteered to get involved in the project.
