Inspirational Women Inspiring Change – #IWD2019

Today, March 8th 2019 is International Women’s Day – a day marking a call to action towards gender parity, and a day that celebrates the achievements of women across the world.

This year’s theme is #BalanceforBetter, a rallying call for us to work together to achieve gender balance globally.

Striving to transform the health and wellbeing of women and girls through film, we believe improving access to health education is vital for women’s empowerment.

Today, and every day, we’d like to celebrate the extraordinary women working to improve global health: the midwives using our training to deliver healthy babies in remote rural areas, the thousands of incredible health workers whose work is crucial to improving the wellbeing of their communities, the contributions of our world class medical advisory panel, women who are doctors, nurses, surgeons, researchers, patrons, donors, board members and leaders of our partner organisations.  We recognise and celebrate their achievements.

Delivering on our mission has only been possible due to the continuing work, support and expertise of exceptional women across the globe.

Thank you to all the inspirational women working towards a more gender balanced world, a world where our vision can be realised; where every woman can be healthy in pregnancy and throughout life.
