Vaccines for all: new collaboration aims to increase vaccine uptake worldwide

Medical Aid Films is proud to have joined forces with CORE group to launch two new projects that promote higher levels of vaccination worldwide.

Vaccines mean life

It’s estimated that 12.4 million children around the world haven’t received any routine vaccines. These children, often referred to as “zero-dose”, have a higher risk of dying of preventable causes compared to those who have been immunised. Our first project with the CORE Group highlights the impact the pandemic had on zero-dose children and other vulnerable communities and lays out ways to reach them, so that no child is left behind.

The second project promotes COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence in Africa, with translations into Nigerian Pidgin English and Swahili. Despite COVID-19 restrictions being lifted in the country, promoting vaccine uptake is as important as ever in order to save more lives and protect our communities.

A fruitful collaboration

We’re proud to work again with CORE Group, a leader in global community health. They’re a coalition of 200 organisational and individual members that work together to end preventable maternal, newborn, and child deaths around the world.

“We’re very pleased to be working with Medical Aid Films to develop two short pieces that will illustrate the lifesaving power of vaccines,” said CORE Group Executive Director Lisa Hilmi. “The first film will address the misinformation and hesitancy around the COVID-19 vaccine and the second, the importance of routine childhood immunizations. We look forward to sharing them with the global health community”

Please watch and share our films and help us spread these important messages around vaccination.
